Miss Tri-Cities pageant to celebrate 65 years this Saturday

KENNEWICK, Wash. – Celebrating 65 years in the community, on Saturday five young women will be vying for the title of “Miss Tri-Cities” and a $10,000 scholarship.
The Miss Tri-Cities pageant will be held at Kennewick High School at 6 p.m. on July 19. The competition is an official preliminary to the Miss Washington and Miss America competitions. The Miss Tri-Cities Scholarship Program said its goal is to inspire accomplishments and motivate personal achievement in young women to reach their educational goals and dreams.
Five contestants will be up for the title of “Miss Tri-Cities” and a $10,000 scholarship at the pageant on July 19. Four teen contestants will be competing for a $5,000 scholarship as well. Tickets are available on the Miss Tri-Cities website, and must be purchased in advance of the event.
This year a couple of familiar faces will also grace the stage as your MCs – Apple Valley News Now morning anchor Jade Elliott and a former anchor here, news director and Tri-Cities legend Kevin Uretsky!
