Nick Jonas, the youngest one from The Jonas Brothers, revealed that he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes during his early teenage years. The jealous crooner opened up about his struggles with diabetes and revealed that it was his older brother Joe who made the call that finally helped him get diagnosed.

On July 24, The Jonas Brothers, consisting of Nick, Joe, and Kevin, appeared on Penn Badgley’s podcast Podcrushed, where the three brothers were seen looking back on their rise to stardom. While reminiscing about the early days of their career, they recalled that Nick’s health began to deteriorate during their Jonas Brothers School Tour in 2006. “I started losing a ton of weight and, you know, drinking a ton of water and using the bathroom all the time—all the signs that I now know are symptoms of type 1 diabetes," Nick revealed, explaining that he had no idea and just knew that he was not feeling well. “It’s actually a testament to the lack of information and awareness there was around type 1 at this time," he added.
