Per Vucetaj, “tweezing is the best method for brow hair removal because it allows for precision—pulling one hair at a time.” Unlike waxing or threading, Loiz explains, tweezing lets you isolate and remove individual hairs for total control over the shape—a good tweezer grips hairs at the root, helping to prevent breakage and ingrowns. “They’re also great for strays or when you want to remove a single hair rather than an entire area,” says Mehta. “Because they remove hair from the root, the results last longer than shaving or trimming.”

When tweezing Vucetaj cautions against using a magnifying mirror. “It can make you pull hairs prematurely, before they’ve fully grown out, which can lead to ingrowns.” She also recommends wiping tweezers with an alcohol swab every few uses to prevent buildup and residue. Mehta notes that hair is easier to pluck post-shower, when pores are open. Her number-one tip is to step back every few plucks to check the big picture. “It ensures you’re creating the shape you actually want and not overdoing it.” If your skin gets irritated easily, apply a bit of aloe vera afterward to soothe.
