Tom Holland Reunites With 'Avengers: Endgame' Directors for New Film

While we will soon see Tom Holland swing into theaters this year with Spider-Man: Far From Home, and likely Avengers: Endgame, he is set to break away from his Marvel role along with directing duo the Russo Brothers.
The reunion between Endgame and Infinity War directors is prompted by the movie Cherry, which Holland is reported to star in. This will also be the directing brothers' first non-Marvel movie in many years.
The Russo Brothers' studio, AGBO, has recently acquired the rights to Nico Walker's book of the same name, and plans to shoot the movie this summer.
Cherry is about the true life story of Nico Walker, an ex-Army medic who returned from Iraq with extreme undiagnosed PTSD. He fell into opioid addiction and began robbing banks, but was caught and convicted in 2011.
After a very competitive bidding war, the brothers got the rights and have made it a priority for their studio.
