- A video of Obinim quoting a wrong bible verse has popped up online
- The video has got many laughing at Obinim
The founder and leader of the International God's Way Church (IGWC), Bishop Daniel Obinim, has become the subject of social media trolls once again.
This time, social media users have been laughing at the controversial man of God for quoting the Bible wrongly.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, Obinim was seen ranting in his church about some of his junior pastors betraying him.
During his rant, Obinim sought to justify that his failure to honour his promise to his former right hand man, Kingsley Baah aka One Blow, who left the church and was recently given a Range Rover by Obofour.
He said that if God himself said he forgot to save the people of Israel, then it should not be weird of him to renege on his promise to his junior pastor.
Obinim then quoted Exodus chapter 2 verse 22 to 23 which he claimed had “God said I forgot…"
But a man who was watching Obinim on TV referred to Obinim's Bible verse and to his surprise, what was written was not anywhere near what Obinim had said.
According to the New International Version (NIV), Exodus 2:22-23 reads
“22 Zipporah gave birth to a son, and Moses named him Gershom,[a]saying, “I have become a foreigner in a foreign land.
"23 During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God.”
The gargantuan error from Obinim has triggered reactions among Twitter users, with some making mockery of the man of God.
