Coutinho only completed a £130m move to Barcelona 19 months ago, but he has failed to justify such a hefty price-tag in his brief time at the Nou Camp.
Now the Spanish champions are reportedly looking to sell him this summer, with Tottenham , Manchester United and Arsenal all linked with the Brazilian.
Spurs, who have also been tipped to sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus, emerged as the frontrunners to sign Coutinho earlier this week.
However, the north London club now look unlikely to prise him away from Spain before the English transfer deadline passes at 5pm this evening.

“Philippe Coutinho has been offered by his agents again but AFC are not interested now” Fabrizio Romano
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Coutinho has been offered to Arsenal by his agent once again.
Yet Romano goes onto insist that the Gunners are ‘not interested’ in pulling off a last-minute swoop for the former Liverpool ace.
He tweeted this morning: “Kieran Tierney and David Luiz to Arsenal, here we go! Philippe Coutinho has been offered by his agents again but #AFC are not interested now. #transfers #CFC #Arsenal”
Coutinho has netted 21 goals in 75 appearances for Barca, picking up two La Liga titles.

As Romano points out, Arsenal are edging closer to deals for both Tierney and Luiz today.
The latter did not train with Chelsea yesterday, with reports suggesting he is trying to force through a move to the Emirates.
And according to Sky Sports, Unai Emery’s side are set to complete a shock deal for the Brazilian before today’s deadline.
It is believed Luiz is not in Blues boss Frank Lampard’s first-team plans at Stamford Bridge this term.

An announcement confirming the signing of Tierney is also said to be imminent, with Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira claiming the Celtic left-back’s move is a ‘done deal’.
He tweeted this morning: “Done deal! #Arsenal have closed for Kieran Tierney from #Celtic. Gunners will pay him €30M [£28m].
“He will sign a contract until 2025. #transfers #AFC”
If Tierney does complete a £28m move to Arsenal, Celtic will have secured a Scottish record deal for the 22-year-old.
