Should Shattawale And Stonebwoy Host VGMA's? Entertainment Analyst Shares Opinion
Jan. 20, 2020
Entertainment Analysts Kwesi Dope and Eugene Baah have opined that the two Dancehall kings, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy should be made to host this year’s edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards though the two have been banned indefinitely for their misconduct at last years edition after Stonebwoy pulled a gun on stage.
Ahead of this year's VGMA’s edition, lots of views have been shared concerning whether the ban on two artistes should be lifted or not. Recently Chairman of GHAMRO Rex Omar, asserted that the two artistes should not be made to come back into the award scheme in order to serve as a deterrent to other music acts.
Commenting on Ghamro chairman’s comment, Kwesi Dope explained that, without Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy there will be something missing in the award scheme hence the board should rather make them a host of the popular event.
Meanwhile, his co analyst, Eugene Baah rather posited that the two acts should not be allowed to partake in the award show and that the ban placed on them should be maintained. He believes this action will make the two learn from their mistakes in order not to repeat what happened again.
In a related development, Stonebwoy has jabbed Rex Omar saying that people should stop discussing him and Shatta wale and rather focus on improving the image of GHAMRO since he has been appointed as chairman.
