Want to move out, my parents refuse to support my decision
Feb. 12, 2020
I’m in a very frustrating position. I’m almost 27 and I’ve been trying to get my parents approval and support to move out.
My father is quite indifferent, but I never imagined the reaction of my mother.
She tells me for like 2 years to move out! But when I finally about to take that step, she doing EVERYTHING in her power to stop me.
Suddenly every apartment in the whole damn city is “shitty”, when I ask her advice about apartments she either ignore my searches or comment something negative.
Today I had a huge fight, I blamed her for not support me when I need help with such big decisions. She blamed me for poor choices. I asked her to help me choose, she refused.
It doesn’t take a genius to know she’s lying. I was furious and wanted to just take my stuff and move out because technically I can do that but the last thing I want is to leave in bad terms.
I’m stuck, I want to move out but not in the cost of my parents relationship. It’s so frustrating.
Any advice how to handle this?
tl;dr: I’m 27 and want my own freedom by moving out. My parents refuse to help me and don’t want me to do this.
