"Nana Ama McBrown Disrespected Me On My Show"- Nana Yaa Brefo
May. 20, 2020
Former Adom TV presenter, Nana Yaa Brefo, has opened up further on her ‘clash’ with Nana Ama McBrown. Brefo had to resign from her post as a morning show host at the TV station following an interview she had with the actress. This follows the death of Kumawood actor Bishop Nyarko and the matters arising after.
Bishop’s brother had reportedly called McBrown a liar for telling the whole world that she tried reaching the actor when he was sick and bedridden. According to the brother, Nana Ama never called and was only lying to gain attention from the public. Therefore, in the said interview, Brefo asked the actress to mention the number she called Bishop on for the world to see the actual truth in the whole issue. According to Brefo, she wanted to give McBrown a chance to prove her innocence before the eyes of all Ghanaians, but McBrown rather got angry with that.
Many people have said the question was useless and hugely criticized the former presenter, however, she has defended herself. According to her, McBrown called her on her show and shouted at her stressing to be allowed to make her point. Brefo says she decided to keep mute after McBrown shouted because she has a lot of respect for her. She added that she refused to apologize to the actress as pressure was mounted on her to do so because she did not see any crime committed in their interview.
