Robbers Kill Their Own Colleague During Operation

An armed robber has accidentally gunned down his own colleague during a raid in Okitipupa, headquarters of Okitipupa local government area in Ondo State, Nigeria.
The terrible incident occurred in the haste and frantic efforts to escape the robbery scene.
According to eyewitnesses, the armed robbers arrived on a motorcycle and attacked a Point of Sale (POS) center in Okitipupa. The attendant immediately rushed out to call for help when the robbers had looted the shop and were making away.
Residents immediately took up arms and gave the robbers a hot chase. One of the robbers, who was visibly shaken by the crowds’ hot pursuit, drew out a gun with the intention of giving a warning a shot to scare away the crowd.
He, unfortunately, he shot his own colleague in the process.
The source explained that policemen from the Okitipupa Police Division later arrived at the scene and retrieved two guns from the scene and the bag snatched from the POS operator.
Confirming the matter, the Ondo State Police spokesperson ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro confirmed the incident, he said ‘it was nemesis that caught up with robbers’The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the state hospital’s morgue for awaiting onward action.
