Premier League referee Lee Mason will not officiate this weekend due to injury.
It comes days after the official was at the centre of controversy as West Brom defeated Brighton 1-0 at the Hawthorns last Saturday.
In the first half, Brighton captain Lewis Dunk found the net with a quickly taken free-kick after Mason had blown his whistle - only for the referee to instantly blow it again while the ball was travelling towards goal because Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone was not ready.
Mason initially disallowed it, before giving the goal and then eventually ruling it out after a VAR check during chaos and confusion.
Dunk described the decision to rule out the goal as "horrendous" and claimed the referee lost control of the game.
Mason will not be on match duty this weekend because of a calf injury sustained in that match. He had been due to serve as fourth official for the fixture between Sheffield United and Liverpool at Bramall Lane last Sunday, but was forced to withdraw because of the injury.
