Chinese deputy ambassador who mocked Zim gvt under fire after attacking Jonathan Moyo
Chinese Deputy Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhao Baogang has rubbed many Zimbabweans off the wrong way after he criticized former Cabinet Minister Jonathan Moyo on Twitter.
This follows after the garrulous Moyo claimed that the army has allegedly frozen out President Emmerson Mnangagwa in favor of his deputy Constantino Chiwenga who made a surprise return to Zimbabwe where he was received by the Chinese Deputy Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhao Baogang instead of government officials as per protocol.
Ambassador Zhao took to Twitter and basically called Jonathan Moyo a two faced person who can not be trusted.
“In the past decades he changed colors many time just for power.he is power thirsty and his words never believable” he said
A lot of Zimbabweans reacted negatively to Zhao and called him to order.
Here are some of the comments
Zhao feeling the heat from Zanu PF
Trying to create a diversion ..
We can see through you MR Zhing Zhong
Nice try though
I can see the Herald making a headline out if this one .
Dear Counsellor Zhao
Are u sure u are not crossing the diplomacy line like Brian Nicholls.
Dont u think this will expose u to falsehoods thus end up compromising yo position.
Getting too involved and interferring may leave u exposed to a mess dont u think????
Zhao We respect the fact that you guys know how to make money, but we’re aware of your human rights violations both in & outside China, as well as your history of looting & not developing host nations. Please respect us.
Mr Zhao are you now representing your country in internal party politics ,just so that we know? You are interfering in our domestic affairs unless you telling us that you have taken over the affairs of our state?
How long should we remain queit and allow these Chinese to loot our national resources and now they are becoming politicians, on what capacity would the chinese welcome our VP without govt knowledge and now medling in our local politics?
Zhao recently ripped into the Zimbabwean government after finance Minister Mthuli Ncube made a miscalculation of the amount the government of China had donated to Zimbabwe during his 2020 National Budget.
