THE father of a Co Down man who died suddenly in Las Vegas has told how the family have been left "stunned".
Gary Love (33), who lived in Waringstown, was found dead in his hotel room just two days after he married his fiancée Grace, with whom he had two young children.
Mr Love, who previously had a shop on Belfast's Newtownards Road, was discovered on Sunday.
The couple had travelled to Nevada last week and were married on Friday.
On Saturday night they had gone out to watch the Conor McGregor UFC fight.
The couple had then gone for something to eat on Sunday before returning to their hotel room.
However, after a while Grace was unable to waken her husband.
The cause of his death had not yet been established yesterday.
Mr Love's mother, Rosemary, and other family members have flown to Las Vegas to make arrangements to bring the father-of-three's remains back home.
Speaking to The Belfast Telegraph, his father Malcolm, who lives in Portadown, said the family are devastated.
"This is not what we had been expecting," he said.
"His family were his main priority. He lived for them.
"We are all completely shattered".
