Nigerians Reacts as Borno Governor Rewards Igbo Woman

Professor Babagana Umara Zulum in his usual early morning project visits was at one of the primary schools where he met Mrs. Obiageli Mazi waiting for her pupils at about 6:46am. He was impressed to see this diligent woman so committed to her work.
In a brief questioning by the Governor, Mrs. Obiageli who hailed from Abia state replied that she has been working in the primary school for 31 years and she earns N35,000 as monthly salary.
T he Governor in an immediate response, gave her a bundle of money and promised her a job even after her retirement
Nigerians has described the gesture of Prof. Zulum as a kind and thoughtful one that’s worth emulating as it serves as an encouragement not just to her fellow teachers but to others in different professions. The woman has also been commended for a act of bravery for her decision to work in Borno; a state known for regular terrorist attacks especially against schools.
