A province in Indonesia is offering cash rewards for anyone brave enough to remove a motorcycle tire stuck in a crocodile's neck. According to reports, the tire has been stuck on the crocodile since 2016 when it was first spotted around Palu River in the province of Central Sulawesi.
Central Sulawesi’s Natural Resources Conservation Office (BKSDA) has launched a contest to free the crocodile of the tire fearing that it might get strangled. The crocodile survived an earthquake and tsunami that struck the region in 2018, but the tire hadn’t gotten off from its neck, according to the report.
There have been failed attempts to free the crocodile Proclaimed “animal whisperer” Muhammad Panji made an attempt, and later that year the conservation office tried to lure the animal with meat.
The conservation is however hoping that someone will come out and help save the life of this crocodile which has been to gasp fo air as the tire strungles it.
