Kieran O’Hara has been hit with a six-game ban after being found guilty of biting an opponent in a League One game last week.
The Manchester United goalkeeper is on loan at Burton Albion and was in action for the side against Peterborough in 1-1 draw last weekend. O’Hara and Burton were defending a corner towards the close of the half and appeared to bite midfielder Sam Szmodics.
The stopper was not punished during the game and was hit with a charge of violent conduct after the match. The FA released a statement explaining their decision, saying: ‘An independent Regulatory Commission has suspended Kieran O’Hara for six matches with immediate effect and fined him £2,500 for a breach of FA Rule E3.

O’Hara will have the opportunity to appeal the decision, but if the suspension stands he will be out of action until April.
