Former Agriculture cabinet secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri has hinted at working with Deputy President William Ruto ahead of 2022 General Election.
Kiunjuri who recently launched his new political outfit, The Service Party, said he would make "a clever choice" on who to support for the top seat in the next elections.
Speaking to Citizen TV on Wednesday, July 1, the TSP party leader hailed Ruto as one of the potential candidates he would be looking forward to working with in 2022.
"Already we have William Ruto, a person I respect very much, a leader I would stand with today; and given a choice, I will make my choice in a clever way, given a choice, I will call my people and we shall look at whoever would have offered himself to become the president of Kenya," he said.
The former CS noted he was working hard to position himself strategically ahead of the tough contest and would want to be an equal partner in the government an not just a handpicked political puppet.
