BEYONCE & SHATTA WALE's Collaboration Is Proof That Africa Is Dictating Music To The World

Today is a proud day for every African, especially music lovers. The past decade has seen some of the biggest collaborations between Africans and international stars.
Last year, American singer Beyoncé made her 'The Lion King: The Gift' album as a tribute to Africans and black people all over. The album featured some of Africa's biggest stars including Tekno Miles, Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, Burna Boy, Oumou Sangaré, Wizkid and Tiwa Savage.
It is already a fact that the above names have been very much involved in exporting Afrobeat to the world and bringing African music to the forefront.

Beyoncé's latest collaboration with Ghanaian artiste, Shatta Wale, is yet another proof that the world is focusing on Africa's music goldmine. The single titled "Already" was released on Friday, July 31 and is already making major waves as it hit the top trending page on social media.
The Ghana musician took to Twitter to appreciate the iconic US singer, Beyoncé after she released the music video for 'Already'. The collaboration also features Jamaican-American electronic dance music trio, Major Lazer, which includes record producer Diplo, and DJs Walshy Fire and Ape Drums.
Shatta Wale posted a video of the song on his official Twitter account saying "Thank you My Queen for believing in my talent and giving me a platform to share my good message to the world ...God will forever bless you #symbolofhope #Already #BlackIsKing #ShattaIsKing @beyonce"

The song is a part of Beyoncé's Black is King album, which is based on tracks from The Lion King: The Gift, the soundtrack from the 2019 film remake of Lion King.

The release of the video comes ahead of Black Is King, a film by Beyoncé made up of songs from The Lion King. Parkwood Entertainment, Beyoncé's production company, says the film 'Black Is King' has been in production for the last 12 months.
The film which premieres today, July 31, features skits, songs, and of course, choreography, which was shot in New York, Los Angeles, South Africa, West Africa, Belgium and London.
The video for Beyoncé's collaboration with Shatta Wale exceeds four minutes and was also shot in more than one location. It showcases the rich culture of Africa.
However, one thing that would definitely get fans psyched and make every African proud is Beyoncé's performance of popular dance moves like 'Akwaaba', 'Gbese' and 'Legwork' in the video.
