Naya Rivera’s Son Josey Is ‘Doing Better Every Day’ One Month After Her Untimely Death

So many people were completely heartbroken by the news of Naya Rivera’s death. No one could have felt that pain more deeply than the last person to have seen her.
Fans of the 33-year-old actress have been worried about her 4-year-old son, Josey. Police indicated that the little boy saw his mother taken under by the current.
Josey’s father, Ryan Dorsey , and Naya’s family have come together around Josey. Although Josey is with Ryan full time, Naya’s sister Nickayla has been very involved with her nephew.
A source close to the family shares that Josey now understands what has happened. He knows that Naya is gone and has learned what it means to die.
“Ryan’s whole world is Josey right now,” the source spoke of the involved father to Entertainment Tonight . “Ryan is still grieving and is very much struggling with the loss of Naya, but he stays strong and keeps going for the sake of his son.”
“Ryan would do anything for Josey,” notes the source. “Right now, he’s really laying low and staying out of the public eye so he can completely focus on Josey and try to figure out how to navigate this new normal.”
Ryan and Josey talk about Naya a lot. It’s important to Ryan that Josey have good memories of his mom to hold onto. He’s also allowed Josey to speak very openly and answered some of his tougher questions. “Josey is a very strong boy and Naya would be very proud of him.”
Ryan spoke publicly about Naya’s death the day after she was laid to rest in small, private funeral at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
