4 Foods You Should Never Feed Your Kids
Sep 29, 2020
Honey
Children before the age of 2 shouldn't eat honey. Honey is known to sprout allergic reactions in children. Additionally, it often contains bacteria that can lead to an infectious disease called botulism. Children’s bowels are not well-formed to contain certain forms of bacteria. Eating honey with such infectious elements may cause serious health complications in children.
Microwave Pop Corn
Microwave popcorn is also a well-known and quick tasty choice for children snacks. However, few may be in the know that the bags used in microwave popcorn can release dangerous compounds. They contain perfluorinated chemicals, that are also used in fast-food wrapping paper, and when heated on high, they emit chemicals in the process that can be potentially harmful to children’s growth and are even linked to cancer.
Chewing Gum
Chewing gum is a no-no for kiddos in so many ways. First of all, because most gums contain high amounts of sugar and this can harm their teeth, causing cavities. While some of the sugar-free options might contain sorbitol, which can cause diarrhea. But what’s really dangerous is accidentally swallowing gum. This can be a choking hazard and also, if the child swallows a large piece of it or a lot of small ones continuously, it can cause a block in the digestive system.
