Robin van Persie’s son appears to have picked up the footballing gene from his father.
Shaqueel van Persie, 13, is in the Feyenoord academy and a video posted on social media showed him scoring a screamer in a match against rivals Ajax Under-15s.
The youngster scored an incredible acrobatic goal with his left foot from a cross put into the box by a teammate.
The goal was very much reminiscent of Van Persie in his prime.
The former Arsenal and Manchester United striker scored many a spectacular goal in the Premier League .
Shaqueel van Persie looks set to be another talent coming out of the Netherlands in the future.
The match had some incredible youngsters on display as Feyenoord came out on top 8-3 against Ajax.
Van Persie’s goal was spectacular but perhaps not the best in the game.
That accolade could easily go to Aymen Sliti who used some unbelievable close control to beat a number of players before scoring Feyenoord’s eighth.
It was very much reminiscent of a Lionel Messi goal and suggests that the future is very bright for Dutch football.
