Nov 27, 2020
Volunteers who received the vaccine for Covid - 19 that was developed by the Moderna and Pfizer have spoken about what they felt like when they received the jabs.
This was after the two vaccine candidates announcing a - 94. 5 percent efficacy by Moderna's and 95 percent by Pfizer's vaccine earlier this month.
Jennifer Haller, who is one of the volunteers that received Moderna's vaccine back in March this year, said that she experienced a mild side effects thereafter. According to her, she felt a sore arm during that day but after then, she was just okay to go.
Ms Haller revealed that she had two shots of the experimental vaccine, four weeks apart, while in Seattle and she was the first person to receive the jab.
" I had two doses of the vaccine four weeks apart, " she told the Independent broadcaster.
"Each time my arm was pretty sore the next day but besides that I personally didn't experience any other side effect. " She added.
Another volunteer from California who also received an experimental vaccine by the Pfizer in September described the same symptoms as Ms Haller's. Mr Daniel Horowitz, said that he experienced a little ache in the muscle where the jab was administered but a day later, he was okay.
The two Covid - 19 vaccine candidates are now seeking an approval for emergency use from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Pfizer submitted its vaccine to the body on 20 November while Moderna are yet to submit theirs but reports by the Independent indicate that by the end of the month, they will have done so.
