Wangeci was killed by her boyfriend identified as Naftal Njahi Kinuthia on Tuesday, April 9 after she allegedly ignored his advances
Addressing the press on Wednesday, April 9, the student politician said it was sad that Wangeci was attacked and killed in broad daylight within the institution that had security personnel.
"How many students will we lose in the hands of these senseless ? And how safe are the comrades in campuses? We would like ask the investigative agencies charged with responsibility of investigating such to do their job and tell us the measures in place to prevent a repeat of the same," she stated
She vowed to mobilised other students to mount pressure of the government and relevant authorities to ensure justice is delivered to the family of the deceased and students were safe in the institutions.
"As we join the family of Wangeci in mourning her untimely demise, I wish to state that as comrades we will not tire to fight for justice of our slain collegues,"She added
The 24-year-old student leader also cautioned men who could not sustain the challenges of a relationship to consider abstaining rather than killing their partners.
