A radio presenter who made insensitive remarks about the brutal murder of Moi University student Ivy Wangeci has apologised.
Didge, who hosts a night show on Homeboyz Radio, asked his fans for forgiveness after being suspended for his actions.
Through an Instagram statement, the radio host said he acknowledged his words were in bad taste and provocative.
The chap further said the same would not be repeated in the future.
"After careful revision of the said show, we made some remarks that were provocative and seemingly tasteless on a very sensitive subject matter, having said that, I am also deeply sorry to anyone who might have been hurt by these comments," he said.
Didge during his Tuesday, April 9, show said Ivy deserved to die because she was not a loyal girlfriend.
The presenter even joked about how the Sixth Year student's killer butchered her using a knife and an axe.
"If you date a butcher then he will slaughter you and if you date a driver he will strangle you using a seatbelt," he said.
The deceased was murdered by her alleged lover, Naftali Njahi on Tuesday, April 9, outside Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH).
Ivy was hacked to death shortly after completing ward rounds in the hospital.
The killer tried to escape after the incident but bodaboda riders caught up with him and pummeled Naftali to near death.
He was rescued by police officers and admitted to hospital after sustaining serious injuries.
When asked by Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) detectives why he killed Ivy, Naftali said her rejection hurt him.
