Details Of Raila’s New Alliance

JOE

Nov. 04, 2019

Kibra residents have less than 3 days before they decide who is going to be their next member of parliament. It is projected that Kibra will shape the race for 2022 as ODM leader Raila Odinga will go head to head with Deputy President William Ruto through their party representatives.
The race for Kibra has caused disunity in Nasa as ODM Secretary general Edwin Sifuna revealed that the party will consider forming now alliance after Kibra by-election.
It seems like ODM has already made moves as Raila Odinga appearing to be assembling a new team that promises to redraw the country’s political landscape ahead of the next General Election.
On Saturday, it was seen as Raila have been shopping for new allies when he hosted governors Charity Ngilu (Kitui) and Alfred Mutua (Machakos) to campaign for ODM candidate in Kibra, Imran Okoth.
It has been revealed that Mr Odinga held a private meeting with Mrs Ngilu of Narc and Dr Mutua of Maendeleo Chap Chap.
On Saturday, ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna repeated his earlier claims that Nasa may be no more after the Kibra by-election. He said that ODM is counting on their friends in Kibra and a new alliance will be forged after the by-election.
Though Raila has said that he will not contest the presidency in 2022, his actions speak otherwise.
