SAD: 2-Week-Old Baby Brutally Raped; Now Fighting For Its Life
Jan. 09, 2020
A two-week-old baby is currently fighting for its life at the hospital after being heartlessly raped.
The toddler has since been admitted at the paediatric unit at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.
The BBC reports that the man responsible for the crime has been charged with rape in court.
The accused has also been charged with causing grievous bodily harm to the hapless victim.
The Serious Crime Branch has, however, refused to put out the identity of the 25-year-old in order to protect the identity of the victim.
The report further suggests the suspect is being guarded round the clock in a bid to stop other prisoners from attacking him.
“Feelings are extremely high, both inside and outside the prison,” the Sun reports.
"I would be pretty sure that if any other prisoners got near him they would lynch him, such is the outrage being expressed by inmates on the landings."
Meanwhile, the suspect is expected to return to court to face prosecution in the coming weeks.
