Moses Kuria: Uhuru wants to remove the Senate Deputy Speaker to pave way for Ruto’s impeachment
May. 18, 2020
Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria over the weekend sensationally claimed President Uhuru Kenyatta had plotted the removal of Senator Prof Kithure Kindiki as the Deputy Speaker, so as to pave way for the impeachment of DP William Ruto.
In a controversial post on Sunday, Kuria, who termed the president as an ‘Occupier’ in Jubilee Party, revealed Uhuru had given express instructions ti his new Majority Whip, Senator Irungu Kangata to facilitate this process.
”The Jubilee Party Owner Occupier has given express instruction to Sen Irungu Kangata to initiate the removal of Prof Kithure Kindiki as Deputy Speaker in the Senate so as to pave way for impeachment of William Ruto. Like Job we refuse to give up on our Living God. We shall overcome. God will not forsake the righteous to appease the evil ,” Kuria said.
The Gatundu South legislator has grown to be a harsh critic of President Uhuru, something that has come at a price. Kuria is in trouble with the EACC after a firm associated to the vocal legislator was linked to a 480M theft of money belonging to artists. Fanaka Mobile Limited, a Premium Rates Service Provider (PRSP) licensed to sell Skiza Codes to content creators failed to remit the said money to musicians.
According to an agreement seen by the Kenyan Report, Fanaka Mobile Limited, which has since closed it’s offices in Nairobi, was obliged to remit loyalties to musicians on a monthly bases but has declined to honour despite receiving millions from Safaricom.
Fanaka Mobile Ltd is a subsidiary of Fanaka TV launched by Kuria in April 2017 as an entertainment station to provide jobs and other opportunities for young people mainly from his constituency.
