The Service Party leader Mwangi Kiunjuri on Wednesday 1st July surprised many after he healped praises on ODM leader Raila Odinga on national television.
Mwangi Kiunjuri who was speaking live on JKL with Citizen TV's Jeff Koingange, revealed that he respected Raila as a party leader since ODM has been one of the firmest political parties in the country.
''One-person people will not think I respect is Honorable Raila Odinga, I respect Raila Odinga a lot because he knows an importance of a Political Party. His party ODM is still outstanding, we envy him for that. As much as we disagree on so many other front, on this one we respect him" Mwangi Kiunjuri Stated on Citizen TV.
The words by Kiunjuri heaping praises to Raila Odinga came as a surprise to many Kenyans considering he has for the longest time been a critic of Raila Odinga.
Mwangi Kiunjuri launched his own party, The Service Party, on Wednesday 24th June with the aim of service delivery to Kenyans.
''I’d like to introduce the entry of The Service Party of Kenya (TSP) into Kenya’s Politics. We have made the commitment to bring forth a platform that will be unequivocal about service delivery to our people as our name suggests'' Former Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri,said during JKL.
Many Netizens have termed his move to start a party in the central region as challenging his former boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta in the Mount Kenya region because he fired him and embarrassed him in public.
The former Agriculture CS has refuted that he launched the party to challenge the President, he maintained the party is specifically for service delivery for the people of Kenya.

Meanwhile ODM party leader Raila Odinga has confirmed to Kenyans that he has already undergone the minor surgery he had gone to sort in the United Arab Emirates, and was doing fine.
Through a video made to the public by his daughter Winnie Odinga, Raila revealed that he felt stronger and rejuvenated after the surgery.
“I’m feeling great, I feel strong and rejuvenated and it feels good to be out of town breathing fresh air”, said Raila.
The vocal leader went on to thank all his friends, supporters and youths who had sent him recovery messages noting that it felt good that people cared and makes him want to recover faster.
