A woman has been arrested by the Tema Regional Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for poisoning her two children with rat  Poison
According to reports, the suspect who has been identified as  Abigail Agbubia has on many occasions threatened to poison her two children aged 3 years and one-and-half years.
 But her neighbors Took it as a joke until the lifeless bodies of the children were discovered by a neighbor who had been wondering about their whereabouts.
The yet-to-be-identified woman, according to a neighbor, Eric, said on many occasions that she will poison her two children aged 3 years and one-and-half years.
The shocked residents started attacking Abigail after discovering the dead bodies.
 Abigail is said to have admitted killing them with rat poison she bought from the market.
“According to the woman, she murdered the children because her husband does not give her any money [to feed the children].
“The children, a boy and a girl were seen wearing diapers and lying still in their mother’s room,” One of the neighbors said.
officials of Tema Regional CID  the 28-Year-old Mother has been arrested to assist with the investigation.
“The crime scene team and investigators visited the scene where they found the motionless bodies of a boy and a girl aged two and eight months respectively in a wooden structure.
“On inspection, no marks of assault was found on the bodies, however, their mouths and nostrils were foamy.
“Police retrieved a bottle containing some liquid, suspected to have components of ‘rat poison’ which will be sent to the Police forensic laboratory for examination.
“The bodies of the children have been conveyed to the Police Hospital where they were confirmed dead by a medical officer and deposited in the same hospital morgue for autopsy.
“The Tema Regional Police is appealing to the general public especially residents of Tema New Town, that anyone with information on the death of the children should Kindly the Crime officer on telephone number 0244287775,” the police said.
