Kapsaret Member of Parliament (MP) Oscar Sudi has finally presented himself to Kapsaret police station.
The youthful MP was in the company of his lawyer and Uasin Gishu Women Rep. Gladys Boss Shollei and fellow MP Didmus Barasa.
His arrest follows hours of standoff between the police and residents of Kapsaret who blocked the road leading to his house.
Two police officers were injured as they made their way to the compound from the fence. Five other people were arrested on Saturday.
One of the police was cut by a panga and another one sustained gun shot wounds as they were blocked from accessing the main gate by the security agents of the MP.
His arrest follows sentiments targeting President Uhuru Kenyatta and his entire family in regard to their alleged fallout with his Deputy William Ruto.
Allies to the DP have attacked the President on recent allegation of mistreating Hon. William Ruto and sidelining him from his 2022 ambitions.
MP Johana Ng’eno was arrested over hate speech causing chaos in his home turf as residents engaged the police in running battles.
He was released on Ksh 1 million cash bail and travelled back to his home where he received a heroes welcome.
