Popular Metro Tv Journalist To Be Arrested For Promoting LGBT- Fears Of Visiting Family In Ghana Now
Mar 2, 2024
US- based Ghanaian journalist Ignatius Annor, openly gay for years, responded to Ghana' s recent passage of the anti- LGBTQ+ bill with a poignant social media post.
Upon hearing the news during his work, he described his emotional turmoil, revealing how his heart raced and body trembled. Seeking solace, Annor requested and was granted the rest of the day off to process the overwhelming emotions.
Expressing frustration beyond the impact on the broader LGBTQ+ community, Annor disclosed a deeply personal concern: the inability to visit his family in Ghana due to the new law. Acknowledging the power of living authentically, he thanked friends Leah, Deirdre, Marine, and Todd for their supportive gestures.
On February 28, Annor found himself emotionally affected while producing a video story upon learning about Ghana' s anti- LGBTQ+ bill.
Struggling to maintain focus, he donned sunglasses to conceal his welling eyes, eventually seeking refuge in his boss' s office. With gratitude, he recognized colleagues Kate and Hayde for their support during this vulnerable moment, empathizing with the collective pain of Ghanaians yearning for self- expression.
In a heartfelt revelation, Annor lamented the personal consequence of the legislation— the missed opportunity to visit his family. For him, authenticity stood as a potent force, emphasizing the transformative power of living one' s truth.
