Adams Oshiomhole Must Go, APC Current And Ex Governors Insist
Dec. 16, 2019
The national chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole is in trouble as he battles to retain his position as the national chairman of the party.
The former NLC chairman who led his party to victory at just concluded Kogi/Bayelsa elections is in a serious face off with current and former governors of his party. It looks like his days are numbered as the party chairman.
The governors are insisting that Mr. Oshiomhole must resign to allow fresh hands handle the affairs of the party. They accused him of dividing the party with his leadership style. According to them, his continuous stay as the party chairman has polarized the party, and it’s capable of leading to the collapse of APC.
The recent cold war between him and his successor in Edo State Mr. Godwin Obaseki has demonstrated that he lacks the will to make peace amongst conflicting party members.
Mr. Oshiomhole who is the former governor of Edo State was accused of not giving every member of the party a chance to vie for political offices in 2019 general elections. But he has always said that his combative leadership style is to instill discipline in the party.
