Recall that the Inspector General of Police had deployed additional investigations aids and forensic support to Edo State Police Command to complement and expedite actions in the ongoing investigations into the unfortunate incident.
According to the group, the protest tagged “March Against Rape” is expected to hold in Ile-Ife, Osun State from 12noon.
“We consider it necessary to further express our displeasure and kick against future occurrence,” the students sad in a statement.
“Protesters will take a peaceful walk to the palace of Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi and Moore Police Station.
“Moreso, sensitisation will be done to further inform the public on the danger of rape. In addition, the protest is expected to address other cases of exploitation especially #SexForGrades.
“At no instance should international communities doubt the certificate Nigerian institutions award their students. Enough is enough.”
