Speaking here soon after he announced his intention, Ameir said in case his party nominates him to be its flag bearer in the coming general elections later this year and wins, his give priorities will be the two sectors.
“I have very many priorities but in case I get elected I promise to develop the education sector especially in science and technology and offer free health services to all Zanzibaris,” he said.
Ameir said he would improve all the basic social services including availability of clean and safe water, adding that all these services will be provided for free.
He said he will also strengthen the tourism sector to benefit all Zanzibaris and create more jobs for the youth.
He further said he will ensure that Zanzibar has better infrastructures as well the establishment of both big and small industries for increased production of goods and for jobs creation.
