Cleveland Hopkins Airport ranks 17th in traveler satisfaction for medium airports, study reports

CLEVELAND — While less people are traveling through airports due to the Coronviurs pandemic; a new study says that the decrease in travelers is boosting the overall traveler satisfaction.
According to the J.D. Power 2020 North America Airport Satisfaction Study, North American Airports have reached a record high of 784 (on a 1,000-point scale) as passengers breeze through security checkpoints, baggage claim and food and retail services.
In it's 15th year, the study examines both departure and arrival experiences of more than 25,000  U.S. or Canadian residents who traveled through at least one of the airports in the last 30 days.
The study takes six factors into account when ranking including terminal facilities; airport arrival/departure; baggage claim; security check; check-in/baggage check; and food, beverage and retail.
But how did Cleveland Hopkins Airport fare among national rankings?
The local airport ranked 17th out of 19 medium sized airports with a score of 786. Finishing above only Edmonton International and Kahului Airports in Canada and Hawaii, respectively.
Ranking the highest among medium-sized airports is Indianapolis International Airport with a score of 866 followed by Palm Beach International at 833 and Southwest Florida International comes in third with a score of 829.
