Dry January will fly by with these tasty alternatives to traditional alcoholic drinks
Jan 24, 2021
I AM not a great believer in Dry January. If you restrict something so much it makes you crave it! But cutting back your general boozing throughout the year is great for your health.
Today I look at some alternatives to alcoholic drinks, while our Beauty Editor puts vitamin C serums to the test.

Gin and tonic
Belvoir’s Juniper & Tonic - £2.50 for 750ml at sainsburys.co.uk
Belvoir’s Juniper & Tonic has a blend of eight botanical extracts, including elderflower, with sparkling spring water and quinine for a bitter tonic kick.
Served with ice and lemon, it is just like a real G&T, with a refreshing, crisp taste.
Unlike most non-alcoholic adult drinks, it is not overpoweringly sweet or fruity.
I still miss the gin, but it is convincing enough that I’ll use it to help me avoid the booze. 23cal per 100ml.
Cocktails
Savyll Cocktails tasting pack - £14.99 for 6x250ml at savyll.com
The Savyll Cocktails tasting pack contains six sophisticated alcohol-free drinks, with something for every taste, from Moscow Mules to Old Cubans.
I particularly liked the Bellini, with a strong peach aroma and dry prosecco notes. They taste like cocktails, not mocktails, and I love the elegant glass bottle and simple design.
No artificial sweeteners and 26cal per 100ml.
Fizz
Wild Life Botanicals Nude - £15 for 75cl at wildlifebotanicals.co.uk
